[Order of the Dragon Shield, Library]
Gentle candlelight reflects off of the warm oak paneling and bookcases that line the walls. Plush wine-red carpet stretches from one end of the library to the other, muffling the footsteps of members and visitors alike. A Prydaen woman sits hunched over a desk in the far corner, furiously transcribing from one book to another. An oak archway leads back to the main entrance. Obvious exits: none.

Selame Portrait:

Before you is a triptych on finely stretched and cured barghest hides.

The scene on the left depicts a lone Prydaen woman in a meadow, her image has been perfectly centered on the hide. The ferocity of her clawed strike on a rearing barghest’s neck gives you the impression that the force of the blow will rip straight through the creature and leave furrows in the soft ground. Spiraling out from the woman are dozens of fallen barghs radiating outward which leads you to believe that the count of dead is beyond what the artist chose to capture. What could only have been done by the hunter’s design, a small area within the circle of dead barghs was kept open and contains two kneeling human girls – one of fair skin and the other dark. Both carry similar looks of awe and admiration for the hunter and her skill of fighting with her claws.

The middle piece is much larger than the side scenes. The Prydaen woman is leaning against a freshly installed support beam in the Haven Barbarian Guild training yard while donning spiked war plate armor with a black midnight finish. Her cat-slitted silver-flecked grey eyes challenge you to inquire about the signage with the Order of the Dragon Shield sigil prominently carved into it that reads “Kissing Booth”. Her visage is in contrast to the playful arrangement of her white mane in pig tails held in place by a barbaric adderwood circlet. Her svelte figure is accentuated by and ebon leather corset side-laced with a blood-red silk cord and matching dueling pants. Pooled at her feet are the remaining armor pieces to be worn amongst a large pile of weaponry that reminds you that you may not want to try to pursue what the sign may promise.

The scene on the right features the woman in a tightly packed taproom dressed in an odd assortment of leather armor pieces and silks of various colors. All eyes appear to be on her as she descends from a table with battle honed reflexes touched with the exaggerated movement of too much drink, evidenced by the empty bottle of tequila toppled over on the table. Looking more closely you notice her hands are in the act of unskilled sleight of hand to obscure something from the crowd. One hand is busy tucking a dance veil hastily into a thigh pouch, while the other contains what you believe to be a pie behind her back. You now realize that her silks are of the same base color, of white, but are splattered with various pie fillings giving off the illusion of dyed fabrics. Following her eyes, you see she is clearly marking out a target for her next toss, an Elven gentleman clear across the room who appears to have one eye on the woman while leaning heavily on a Prydaen Bard.

An engraved gold plaque at the base of the portrait reads in a flowing hand, Selame Saldea, ODS Speaker
