Kerella Portrait:
Your gaze is immediately drawn to an elven woman decked out in dark riding leathers expertly reining her horse as she whips around the base of a large oak tree; her snow-white-streaked blue-black hair appears to be one with the wispy early evening sky and the moonlit leaves of the great tree. Your eyes widen as you begin to sense that the tree and lady share a sense of kinship and inner-strength, but puzzled by the slight blush that appears to have bloomed upon her visage. Her turquoise eyes are clearly drawn downward to ivy wrapped around the trunk of the tree. The ivy looks lovingly tended and coaxed to resemble a horseshoe hanging on the upper edge of a shield with centered vines of black creeper in the shape of a small dragon. You realize you have been awe struck and your view held captive by the sparkle of the woman’s eyes. You quickly exhale your held breath and swear the dragon in the shield shifted as if blown by an errant breeze. Regrouping your senses you being to take in the balance of the painting and see a small group of Dragon Shielders ringing the tree opposite of the woman on horseback. They are made up of alternating figures dressed in elegant court attire reaching out to offer a loving embrace to the lady, with the other half in battle dress offering her a crisp salute. With surprise you realize that you did not previously notice the almost full moon high in the sky above the great oak. As you continue to peer at the moon you begin to see an image of the lady. She is drawing a blade from a dark jade weapon harness as she stalks a small caravan of what appears to be enslaved folk of many races. Her off-hand leather clad fist is held at shoulder height with great tension; clearly a signal to the shadowy shapes of Dragon Shielders tightly coiled and ready to strike at her command.
An engraved gold plaque at the base of the portrait reads in a flowing hand, Kerella Wyrblade, ODS Speaker
Kerella Scroll:
Prominently mounted to the right of the portrait is a recounting of Kerella Wyrblade’s selfless contributions to the people of Riverhaven and Therengia during her ODS tenure:
