Drexella Portrait:
Gazing upon the portrait your attention is drawn to the stark contrast of the ebon skinned woman with long white hair swept back and captured at the crown of her head by a haircomb that could only be found in the house of a noble. You then notice the windows of her soul, dark eyes that bespeak of many years of hard fought challenges and both the victories and pains that accompany them. Her clothing is predominantly hidden by a leather saddlebag embossed with the Order of the Dragon Shield that she is clutching to her bosom with visible strain in her hands adorned only by a single ring of white gold set with a bloodgem that are wrapped around its base as if more than her life depended upon it’s security. What you can make out of her clothing reminds you of the contrast of her skin and hair, peeking out from the base of her battle-worn leathers at her wrists and neckline are lace frills that give you the thought that the leathers were hastily thrown on over a courtly gown in great haste. Your continuing examination of the portrait reveals to you an expression of concern on her face, but not that of self-concern. In the background you begin to make out three distinct vignettes: 1) in the far left you see a battle group of Dragon Shielders rallying at Haven’s temple gates with the lady clearly identifiable at the apex of a phalanx with her long white hair flying wildly as a surge of dark cloaked figures begins to break upon their phalanx 2) Top-most and center you see a large group of young adventurers spilling out into Haven’s town square barely able to keep all of the belongings bundled into their arms from spilling into the Faldesu 3) While hard to make out due to its small scale and appearance as if viewed through cheesecloth, you see a small cottage set within an indiscriminate town backlit by a sun that has you guessing if it is dusk or dawn
An engraved gold plaque at the base of the portrait reads in a flowing hand, Drexella Giraud, ODS Speaker
Drexella Scroll:
Prominently mounted to the right of the portrait is a recounting of Drexella Giraud’s selfless contributions to the people of Riverhaven and Therengia during her ODS tenure:
